School Visits for Students

Konomie Island Environmental Education Centre 

​PLEASE KEEP BAGGAGE TO A MINIMUM – one bag per person is ideal and a small backpack.

 

  • Clothing - sunsafe (include a raincoat and warm jumper)
  • Swimming gear (Stinger Suits are available at the Centre, or BYO)
  • Towels x 2
  • Sun Protection (Hat no caps, sunscreen, sunglasses)
  • Toiletries (biodegradable products if possible / Phosphate Free)
  • Pillow and sleeping bag or sheets
  • Suitable footwear for bush walking
  • Thongs for around the centre
  • 'Wet' shoes (old pair of joggers or reef booties) Not Crocs
  • Insect Repellent
  • Medication (Given to Class Teacher)
  • Sturdy garbage bags for lining of backpacks
  • Water Bottle (min 1litre)
  • Camera (optional) charger/batteries
  • Mobile phones not required
  • Sun safe clothes and adequate underwear
  • Torch​

Co-ordinators

School/personal camera/ charger/batteries
Data Stick/s to download any photos taken with KIEEC digital cameras
Confirmation Form sent in 1 week before arrival
Medical Forms (all participants including visiting staff)
Emergency Roll
Know your Students Completed and sent back to KIEEC Program Co-ordinator
COVID Screening form
High Risk Form and RAT permission signed 

What Not to Bring  

  • Lollies/snacks/marsh mallows

  • Glow sticks

  • Money

  • Fishing and camping knives. If these are required to support a curriculum activity they will be supplied by the centre staff who will supervise their use.

  • Spear guns
