Gifted and talented programs

Centre staff are able to support school initiatives. Here are some program suggestions (PDF, 532KB) for your reference.

Differentiation approach

The centre works with visiting groups to plan and implement differentiation strategies for every program. Possible template (DOC, 131KB) for planning.

Students with special needs e.g. ASD, can worry about things prior to camp. The use of this introduction (YouTube video) should help them feel more at ease.

Centre staff respond to diversity and inclusion needs every day. They are skilled at working with visitors who:

  • are physically impaired e.g. mobility, visual
  • have ADHD
  • are epileptic
  • bring a pesonal carer
  • require special diets.

This beach wheel chair belongs to the Emu Park Lions club and is on loan to the Centre or other community groups.

Active and informed citizenship

  • Reef Guardian School program.
  • Tangaroa Blue international marine debris data collection site.
  • GBRMPA Eye on the reef coral monitoring program.
